The Center of Large Carnivores DINA Pivka is situated in the heart of Pivka and represents a central point in Slovenia for a comprehensive understanding of the world of large carnivores and coexistence with them.

Experience the fascinating world of wolves, lynxes, and bears. In the ambiance of a magical forest and across 10 interactive stations, discover numerous intriguing aspects of the lives of large beasts:

· What do they eat, what interests them, and where do they roam?

· Who do they have issues with, and who has issues with them?

· Why does a lynx mark a tree, and what does bear fur do on a trunk?

· Why is bear scat sometimes green and other times purple?

Using state-of-the-art technology, embark on a trail for tracks and learn the basics of their communication. Test yourself by turning on an electric fence and participate in the Quick Paws quiz. Explore the daily lives of large beasts by reading their posts on 'Beastbooks.' Watch short yet informative films with breathtaking nature footage. Learn the correct behavior in case you encounter a bear.

Expert knowledge has been translated into a language understandable to everyone, including children. A visit to the DINA Center is suitable for all generations and is an experience for the whole family.
